Line #1 for our project begins with Hope....
Ursula, who is a full Maine Coon imported from Ukraine and Kuhl, who is a full Bengal, are the parents of Hope. Her TICA registered name is "CrystalMC Ray of Hope". She is a Brown Classic. As she grew, she developed a very long body, long tail, and wonderful tall ears.
On March 15, 2024 Hope delivered some absolutely stunning babies. It was so exciting for us. These babies are 25%Bengal & 75% Maine Coon. What fun they turned out to be. They are very loving and enjoy being held more then bengals do. (bengals typically do not like being picked up). They are fun and playful, more then a full Maine Coon but not as hyper as the Bengals. They are noticeably less messy, which I enjoy of course. They dont seem to get litter all over the room. Their coat is very silky feeling as well. It is too early to determine how much they will shed, but I will update that information as they grow. Some of these babies were shorthair and some longhair. After DNA results came back, we decided to keep 2 of her female kittens to move forward with our project. We named them Ava (in Michigan)and Athena (in Colorado). Our decision who to keep back was strictly based on health, blood type, and color DNA panels. Unfortunately, there wasn't a shorthair kitten to hold back that had the results we needed.
